About Me: Command Sergeant Major Frennier enlisted into the U.S. Army as an Infantryman in October of 1980 from Fort Ord California. He completed One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning Georgia.
Command Sergeant Major Frennier has held every leadership position from Squad Leader to Command Sergeant Major. Some of his assignments include: Squad Leader, 1st Battalion 26th Infantry, Goeppingen Germany; Section Leader, 3rd Battalion 7th Infantry, Fort Benning, Georgia; Recruiter, Tyler Texas; Platoon Sergeant, 1st Battalion 30th Infantry, Erlangen Germany; Infantry Platoon Trainer, Operations Group, National Training Center, Fort Irwin California; First Sergeant, D Co 1st Battalion 22nd Infantry, and HHC 1st Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood Texas; Operations Sergeant, 2nd Battalion 9th Infantry, Camp Casey Korea; First Sergeant, A Co 2nd Battalion 7th Cavalry, Fort Hood Texas; Operations Sergeant Major, 3rd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood Texas; Command Sergeant Major, 1st Battalion 5th Cavalry, Fort Hood Texas; Command Sergeant Major, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Bliss Texas; prior to assuming his current duties as Command Sergeant Major for ITAM-Army he served as the 16th Command Sergeant Major of the United States Army Recruiting Command.
Command Sergeant Major Frennier has had two previous combat tours to Iraq.
Some of his awards and decorations include: the Legion of Merit (1st Oak Leaf Cluster), Bronze Star (1st Oak Leaf Cluster), Meritorious Service Medal (5th Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Commendation Medal with V device, Army Commendation Medal (4th Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Achievement Medal (9th Oak Leaf Cluster), Expert Infantryman Badge, and the Combat Infantryman Badge.
He is a graduate of the Army Force Management Course, and every level of the non commissioned officer education system. He has 124 semester hours with Amridge University pursuing a degree in Management Communication.
Command Sergeant Major Frennier is married to his wife Carol, they have two children, Tommy and Nicole.
