Residency done, time for CGSC (ILE)!

By: Eric Danko
I started ILE (formerly known as CGSC) yesterday at Ft. Belvoir. This is one of the satellite "in residence" locations which lasts about 4 months. There are 128 people there total, and we are broken down into groups of 16. It seems that everyone here is high speed, with almost everyone having at least a master's degree. Since I will be going "Army stuff" for the next 4 months, I decided to post some of my bigger cases from my 2 year...read more

First Round of Mock Boards Done!

By: Eric Danko
I just finished up a grueling 2 days of testing! Yesterday was our Mock Oral Boards. What this consists of is 4 hours of intense one on one questioning from mentors. There are 8 30 minute blocks, for 4 hours total. During these 30 minute blocks, you spend time with a mentor in each specialty, and they ask you questions just on their specialty. After 30 minutes, you switch and go to the next specialty.

Today we had a written test. It encompassed all...read more

By: Eric Danko
I had a great first week and a half in the Bravo program. Already have a ton of work to do and already learned more than I could have imagined in such a short time! We have a GREAT staff of mentors here at Bragg and I am eagerly looking forward to the rest of the course. I realize there is going to be an overwhelming amount of info and frustration at times. However, I know I am going to learn so much over the next 2 years.

By: Eric Danko
I started my 2 ytear Comprehensive Dentistry (63B) program yesterday! I have been putting off my specialty for some time now so that I could deploy with the 82nd, but now it is time to move on and "get serious." We have some great mentors here at Fort. Bragg and I am eagerly anticipating all of the new information I will obtain over the next 2 years. This will help me tremendously in my dental profession and my military profession.
