A Testimony against Terrorism

By: Johnny Hampton
Ever since September 11, 2001, I have felt the need to testify against terrorism. Mainstream society abjures the practice of using terrorism as a vehicle to meet their objectives. Anyone with a pure heart of goodness would reject radical ideology. Only a terrorist, apostles of hate, would disrupt and dishevel the sanctity of the free world. It is my wish, that no accolades are given to them for their unjust murder of innocence. How could anyone be entangled in such an archipelago of deceit...read more

My Thoughts On War

By: Johnny Hampton
We wage war against others

Because we have not learned how to love ourselves.

I feel on fire like a firefly inside

After the bullets from our firefight fly

Its only you and I that subside.

The way that I feel inside aside

Its these war memories outside that reside.

In Iraq, I saw God's love that let me live

And I experienced Satan's hatred that tested my fate......read more

Thoughts on America's troops

By: Johnny Hampton
The valor of the American soldier is reflected brightly in the meritorious deeds of our young men and women serving their country. Who among you stands up against the bullets of tyranny and steps across foreign fields of oppression to open windows of freedom and opportunity for Third World citizens? Soldiers, airmen and sailors answer the call of duty without hesitation. Brave beyond words, possessing selfless dedication to wear the uniform with pride. Our nation can sleep ever so serenely at...read more

The Loudest Sound You’ll Ever Hear

 The loudest sound

	You’ll ever hear,

Is the scream of bombs exploding nearby.

	The dull, eerie whisper

Of mortars flying through the air.

	It sounds evil,

	Like the voice of Satan.

	The language of war,

	Translated through instruments of Death.

	I feel like

	I am tight-rope walking

	On the rope of existence,

	With the Angel of Life,

	Next to me....read more

A Letter To A Suicide Bomber

By: Johnny Hampton
War changes you,

	War changes everything.

It’s an event that shakes your soul

	Like nothing else,

That jolts you into a sense of altered reality.

	Thank you.

Thank you for being so inconsiderate

	To end your life

	In such a grand fashion.

	Blown into bits of misery.

	The explosion at the marketplace

	Was without regard

	To anyone around.

I’m not that great at math,

	But I think you just

Eliminated yourself from the equation of...read more
