					Training our nation&amp;#8217;s future leader is the Cadre&amp;#8217;s mission. College cadets also have the opportunity to build a sense of leaders as well. Myself and a four other Pershing Rifle members from the 42nd OVB in Akron, Ohio traveled to a local high school to be the judges of a JROTC Pershing Rifles competition. It was very interesting to see how hard our nation&amp;#8217;s youth would work to prove that they could be Army Strong. 					First feeling my freezing limbs and the cold steel of my weapon, my eyes slowly began to open. Now time to rise and shine in the pitch black darkness on a 17 degree Sunday morning, Akron R.O.T.C. FTX was about to begin. My platoon sergeant alerted each squad leader to ready the men and prepare for a long, cold day of training. Orders were given to dress and pack for the day of patrolling and ambush lanes, all while maintaining noise and light discipline.
