This morning I attended a breakout session for Public Affairs professionals who want to improve their "pitch" skills with national media. A panel featuring editors and producers from Good Morning America; The Huffington Post, People Magazine and Essence served as judges. I'm currently attending the National Association of Black Journalist conference being held in Philadelphia, PA. The Army is a sponsor and exhibitor at this annual event, which brings together African-American journalists from all over the country. This year about two thousand members of the media are here to network and visit with friends and colleagues.
