					I joined the ROTC program straight out of high school after being awarded a 4-year scholarship. I was full of confidence and felt that I would be able to succeed without any trouble; I was wrong. I learned quickly during my first semester that I did not know anything. I struggled to balance my grades, ROTC, and my student life. I had to learn to prioritize and understand that I was not like other students and that my responsibilities did not end at the classroom.
