My name is SSG Flores-Torres, Beatriz, I am native from Puerto Rico where I decided to join the Army during my third year of college. Hello Drill Sergeant Grant here again. I'm currently down here in Los Angeles, CA at the NAACP convention. Which has been outstanding. The Army booth was open from the 23 till the 26th. We had a great time interacting with all of the participants there. Communicating about education, money for college and promoting officership in the minority arena. The military appreciation dinner was on Tuesday, the youth luncheon was yesterday and tonight is the culminating event. The presidents dinner. Hello again, army strong stories. I have been in the Drill Sergeant Exhibitor Program since Feb and I'm really enjoying the program. It gives a better insight on how hard our brothers and sisters in the recruiting field have to work. I now have a better understanding and respect for them and their mission. I truly enjoy interacting with the future soldiers. Either thru physical training with them or just a symposium going over whatever questions the family members or soldiers may have...read more
