What a great day to post a blog. There has been a lot of things going on since my last post. I have been mainly working with our PR managers on day-to-day announcements and product launches. Since we were right in the midst of Holiday season, a lot of charity and non-profit promotional launches were priority. Last week was a big week for Google's...read more

					Hello everyone,

It's been awhile since my last post but I wanted to make sure I caught up with everyone about what I've doing here at Google. I'm definitley in the "Google mix" to say the least. Recently, I just completed my first official Google launch (12/3) of a campaign aimed at supporting military families with some free Google products and services. The name of the campaign is called "Google Voice for Military Families"....read more

Well, it's time for my second installment of "My Google Experience.” I appreciate the feedback I received from my previous post. Also, my apologizes to those readers who felt my previous post was lacking depth and content, however, the purpose was to introduce the concept of the training with industry (TWI) program and highlight the opportunity of an active-duty Army officer working at Google. After two months of being on the job, I look forward to meeting...read more

I will post a monthly update highlighting my experience working with the Google corporation thru the Army's Training with Industry program.

Last February, I was selected to participate in the Army's Training With Industry (TWI) Program. The TWI program allows active duty service members to work with a private sector corporation in career fields that parallel the service member military occupational skill...read more

Welcome everyone to the 2010 Essence Music Festival! The weather was a bit of a challenge this week with the tropical storm brewing in the Gulf of Mexico, but nothing is standing in the way of this wonderful and inspirational weekend. The interactive and exhibit area is by far one of the best exhibits the Army has presented.

What a way to start the summer event tour! I just finished up my participation in the 100 Black Men of America . First off, the Army represented with a strong diverse population of Soldiers, NCOs and Officers. This event was one of the strongest networking and engaging events I have ever attended. I had the opportunity to engage and interact with Fortune 500 stakeholders, community and national leadership. The event commenced with an opening...read more

By: Roger Cabiness II
This year the Army helped usher in the 100th Year Anniversary of the NAACP. What an event!!! There were various notable individuals that participated in this week long convention consisting of seminars, luncheons, dinners and award banquets. Our 44th President of the United States and my Commander In-Chief, President Barack Obama was the keynote speaker at the 94th Spingarn Awards. This year’s theme was “NAACP 100 Years: Bold Dreams-Big Victories”. I personally had the privilege and honor...read more

What a weekend! The 2009 Essence Music Festival will go down as one of my most memorable Army experiences. To be apart of such a powerful machine that brought in thousands of people to a city full of spirit and life was an absolute honor. One thing is for sure, "Army Strong" was out front and in the lead! The countless Army Soldiers and Civilians we had in support of this event is the reason why the Army was such a big hit! A lot of people lives have been...read more

What an event! So far Day 1 and Day 2 of the Essence Music Festival was nothing short of stellar. The entertainers, exhibits, but most of all the people are what makes this event what it is. John Legend, Robin Thicke, Neyo, Beyonce were all big hits but the surprise came last night with Charlie Wilson. He really put on a show and had the Superdome crowd loving every minute of it. You can tell when walking around the convention center that the Army message is starting to resonate throughout the...read more

I can’t think of a better way to start my “Blogging” career than to have the opportunity to participate in an event that has such a positive impact on the Great City of New Orleans. Currently on day 1 of the the Essence Music Festival and there is a sense of excitement and joy that surrounds the people as they enter the convention center.
