					The Crisis Negotiation Workshop began with an introduction to the LAPD&amp;#8217;s Crisis Negotiation Team, the history of crisis negotiation and different models of crisis negotiation used by different departments. This initial background to crisis negotiation truly illustrated the stark difference between this type of negotiation and many others that we learned in the Negotiation Conference. 					I arrived in LAX after a relatively short flight from Denver, and no sooner did I gather my bags that I found myself sitting in an unmarked police cruiser, the driver negotiating the hectic and mostly standstill landmark of LA: traffic.&#xD;
