					This past summer, from 10 May to 5 June 2010, I participated in the Army ROTC&amp;#8217;s Cultural Understanding and Language Program. Through this program, I had the privilege of traveling to the Volta Region of Ghana with several other cadets from around the nation.&#xD;

	Young men across America grow up playing with the little green army men and later in life watch Tom Hanks systematically destroy the Germans in Saving Private Ryan. This was no different for me. As a young child, my father exposed me to the outdoors including hunting and fishing. This early exposure to weapons and the outdoors lead to the attraction with all things that shoot, blow up, or go fast.
