Greater Kansas City Recruiting Company supports the Missouri Maverick Hockey team at the Independence Event Center this Friday with a table set up as well as a swear in of 10 Future Soldiers. The table set up consists of a Future Soldier Trainer, dog tag machine and H3. The company will also raffle off a signed hockey puck to a lucky hockey fan during the second intermission

SSG Pumfrey of Joplin Recruiting Station will be presenting a signed football jersey to Carl Junction High School. The jersey is signed by every Future Soldier that joined from Carl Junction High School since it was donated to the station and put on display in April 2010.

I hadn't mentioned anything about it because in the military I have learned it's not official until you have orders. I have heard some people say even then it's not official until you are getting on the plane :) Orders came through this week and I beleive it's as official as it gets. This past weekend, the Hubs and I ran in the Texas Half in Dallas. Y'all, it was so incredibly fun! Sure, the wind was out of the north at 20 mph and it was frigid but I really and truly enjoyed every minute. My goal was to not stop and rest at all and I did it! Well, I can't believe it's been a year since I've posted. A lot has happened since the thick of the 2010 tax season.
