SSG Conger of the Kansas City, MO recruiting station was presented a plaque from the Maverick's General Manger. The Maverick's show their appreciation for veterans on Friday night games.

Friday evening about 10 Future Soldiers stood at attention before a packed crowd of hockey fans. The Future Soldiers raised their right hand and the took the oath of enlsitment. The crowd cheered and thanked them.

This morning, Mark Collins will attend the football coaches academy breakfast with the commanding general. Later today, Collins will tour the stadium, meet combat veterans, and sit on a mentorship panel.

I reported to ILE at Fort Lee, VA on 04 JAN 2012 and I'm a part of class #12-001. There are a total of 64 students in the class with all branches being represented and most functional areas as well. These students come to ILE with a wealth of experience. The class is mainly made-up of Majors but we do have some Captains and Lieutenant Colonels. I am concerned that with downsizes that is coming with the Army. I hope that we do not run into the same problems with SO many of our GREAT Soldiers having the numerous deployments that many of them have already seen.

Today, Army guests will visit the skills in action zone, jump with the Army's Golden Knights, fire weapons at the marksmanship trainer, and attend the evening bar-b-q.
